قضى رجل في الولايات المتحدة سنوات طويلة مع أكثر من مئة كلب تحت سقف منزل واحد وكشفت تقارير إخبارية نشرت عن أن المسؤولين في مدينة ديربورن بولاية ميتشيغان توجهوا إلى منزل الرجل إثر تلقيهم بلاغات من الجيران ليجدوا “كميات هائلة من القمامة تصل إلى السقف بالاضافة إلى عدد لا نهائي من الكلاب”، وتم نقل 104 كلاب من منزل الرجل”56 عاما” وإيداعهم في دار لرعاية الحيوانات.
واضطر العاملون في دار رعاية الحيوانات والهيئة الصحية المحلية في المدينة لارتداء الكمامات أثناء عملهم بسبب الرائحة الكريهة، وترجح السلطات أن الرجل الذي عاش مع الكلاب يعاني من اضطراب نفسي

ولم يكتشف الجيران في المنطقة السكنية الراقية مطلقا ما في داخل المنزل، حيث لم يكن الرجل يسمح للكلاب بالخروج من المنزل، ولم يكن أحد من الجيران ليعتقد بوجود هذا العدد الهائل من الكلاب داخل المنزل الذي بدا عاديا للغاية من الخارج، حيث كان الرجل بحديقته بشكل دائم يعتني وبدأ الجيران في الأسابيع الأخيرة الشكوى من “رائحة كريهة خفيفة” كانت هي الدليل الأول للكشف عما داخل منزل جارهم

وقالت إحدى الجارات: “لم أشم في حياتي رائحة كريهة بهذه الدرجة”، في إشارة إلى الرائحة التي انبعثت بعد فتح السلطات منزل الرجل

More Than 250 Dogs Found In Home
Owner May Face Charges

DEARBORN, Mich. — Dearborn police are seeking to criminally charge the owner of a home where more than 250 dogs have been found.
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said it has taken police and animal rescue crews three days to pull 112 live dogs and between 150 and 160 dead dogs from a home on Orchard Street.
The dogs, mostly Chihuahuas and Jack Russell terriers, some pregnant and some diseased with tumors growing out of their mouths, were found in every crevice of the feces-infested home.
Dogs were pulled out of walls, closets, old TV sets, the basement and the trunk of the homeowners’ car.
On Friday, police found 150 dogs packed in old freezers throughout the home. Six more were discovered Saturday.
Haddad said a criminal investigation is under way “due to the critical and aggravated situation” at the suburban Detroit home.
He said the case could be forwarded to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office as soon as Monday for possible animal-cruelty and animal neglect charges.
All of the dog carcasses will be used as evidence in the case.
The owner of the house, a 56-year-old man, is undergoing a psychological examination at an area hospital. Haddad said that when they arrived at the home, the man seemed confused and disoriented and had lived with the increasing number of dogs for up to three or four years.
