بعد عشرة أيام من التحذيرات شديدة اللهجة من العلماء وتجهيزات أهالى جزيرة منهاتن الأمريكية لإعصار أيرين الذى قال المراقبون إنه من المتوقع أن يصبح أحد أقوى الإعصارات، ولكن الإعصار خيب التوقعات ومر الأمر بسلام، ولم تحدث إلا خسائر محدودة وفقا لصحيفة الديلى ميل البريطانية.

وهو ما دفع أهالى وسكان الجزيرة للخروج إلى الشوارع محتفلين بنجاتهم من عواقب الإعصار.

ومع بداية الإعصار تحولت منهاتن إلى مدينة أشباح بسبب بداية الإعصار بقوة، ولكن سرعان ما بدأ الأمر فى الانخفاض تدريجيا ليمر الأمر بخسائر أقل كثيرا من المتوقع لها.

The winds were really really strong though and the heavy rain I’m used to it in the summer I mean raining cats and dogs but not that much and actually we had some fun. Getting some benefits out of it the fact that we gathered and spent the night in cozy lovely family and friendly reunion
    Hopefully we went through safe and Irene played it kinda soft

Many thanks indeed dearest sister Soumia and same to you Eid blessed and Mobarak to the whole Islamic Ouma it’ still too early for us we didn’t even pray yet it”s only 6 and some change AM and the Eid prayer is programmed at 8:30 you guys are the first to whom I’m addressing my Eid wishes and greeting even before my family you guys are my family in other words
